We apologize to those bloggers who were affected - we are looking at mechanisms to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

We are in the process of integrating with Google Friend Connect, which may temporarily affect the Following feature for some users. Specifically, users who already use Following and Friend Connect may notice missing blogs in their profile, as well as a decrease in the number of public Followers on their blogs.

This is because
we have set these users to "anonymous" to avoid linking the profiles of Blogger and Friend Connect users without their permission. They are still following privately and will able to make themselves public again.

After the official launch of the Friend Connect integration, we will communicate with the affected users and instruct them how to reset their relationship to public. To reiterate: the number of Followers has not changed, and we believe that the launch will improve the visibility of your blog and community. We will post more details on Blogger Buzz as the launch approaches.

Some users have reported missing posts on the main page of their blog. We are looking into this and hope to have a fix out shortly.

As a workaround, create a new blank post and save it as a draft. This should reset your cache and display the missing posts.

2.) Navigate to Blogger.com and sign in.
3.) Paste the original sign-in link into your browser's address bar, where you should then be given access to the private blog.

Blogger is currently experiencing difficulties uploading AOL Journals images that were added directly from AOL Photos when that feature became available in March of 2007. Images that were added directly from AOL Photos use the URL http://pictures.aol.com/ap/singleImage.do?pid=

Blogger is working on resolving this issue. Once it is resolved, if you've already imported your Journal to Blogger you may need to reimport it (go to www.blogger.com/AolToBlogger) in order for these photos to appear. We'll update this post when we have more information.

Some folks experiencing transfer failures may have been using the incorrect AOL Journal URL, including spaces where there should be hyphens.

Make sure to use the following format for your AOL Journal's URL (with hyphens in place of spaces):

http://journals.aol.com/screenname/title-of-your-blog

Users who get the "Transfer process failed" error when trying to import their AOL Journals may need to clear their cookies and try again.

We are working hard to resolve both issues quickly, and will post an update here once we come up with the fix. We apologize for the inconvenience.
