We've identified a third-party widget called BlogLinker to actually be malware, and have temporarily disabled the blogs containing the script in their template.

If you recall adding the script to your template and have recently been unable to access your blog, please add your URL to this form so that we can investigate further.

Distributed Denial of Service attack

A small percentage of Blogger users have experienced error messages this afternoon as the result of what appears to be an ongoing distributed denial of service attack aimed at multiple services across the web. Google has a variety of systems in place to help counteract these types of attacks, and we believe the majority of affected users can now access their blogs. We're continuing to work to minimize the impact to affected Blogger users. No other Google products have been affected.

We've restored the small number of accounts which were disabled over the weekend, so you should be able to login to Blogger.com without a problem. We apologize for the inconvenience as we continually work to improve our spam detection.

From the dashboard, you may also restore access to non-spammy blogs which were inadvertently affected by this issue.
